Our Story

Our story starts much like many others in the military. Boy meets girl, girl makes crappy decisions, boy and girl fall in love. While we didn't start off on the best foot, our relationship is the best thing that happened to both of us. It has brought us it's share of heartache, tears and frustrations but it has equally brought us laughs, smiles and more love than either of us ever imagined having in our lives.

We got married in April of 2004 after shorter engagement than either of us planned. We had hoped for a normal engagement and wedding but due to military obligations, that was never going to happen so we headed to the JOP. We promised that the following year we would have a big wedding and decided to keep our marriage a "secret" from as many people as we could. I moved to FL in June and in November, Hubby left for our first deployment as a married couple (our 2nd together). In June 2005, Hubby returned and told me that he was anxious to start a family. So our plan to have a wedding died, replaced by dreams of little feet and little hands. Having had fertility problems in the past, we found a hard-core fertility doctor who enabled us to get pregnant and in Sept 2005, we found out we were expecting our first addition to our family.

Since that time, we have added another little one, had one dog go and another come into our lives, moved 3 times and life has changed so much but one thing that always remains.....our love for each other. I am so lucky to be married to my best friend. He may drive me crazy at times but he is my world and in him, I have found someone who supports me, builds me up and makes me challenge myself to be a better version of me.He never puts me down or makes me feel bad about myself or my shortcomings. He is always there when I need him, even if it is over the miles that are sometimes between us. I am very blessed to have him in my life and I thank the Good Lord every day for all that he has blessed me with since bringing my awesome husband into my life.
